What is Insanity:MAX30 like?



I wasn’t so sure about making Insanity: MAX30 the first Beachbody program I purchased. I had borrowed P90X from a friend, and I had also completed (I am using that word loosely) a couple days of the original Insanity program. I did okay with P90X, but Insanity pretty much crushed me. I was talking to my coach about my goals and where I wanted to go with this journey, when she suggested Insanity:MAX30. I was hesitant at first, but she told me how much she enjoyed the program and how great her results were. Only thing was, I had forgotten how much of a cardio beast she was (we have been friends for several years). I needed a true challenge, so I purchased the program, and my journey began!
                The program is an eight week, high intensity, and cardiovascular strengthening program, so to say I was out of breath each day was an understatement. Each day of the program, you annotate your MAXOUT time on the program calendar, so you can compare times each week. The MAXOUT time is the amount of time you were able to follow along with the exercises without a taking an unscheduled break. This program keeps you moving the whole 30 mins! You are jumping, squatting, doing pushups, and many more exercises that will work to sculpt your entire body. There are even modification exercises for those you aren’t physically able to do, or if you just are too tired to continue. So, this program is truly for everyone.
 My MAXOUT time the first week was embarrassing to say the least. I thought I was in much better shape than that. I was maxing out around 4.5 to 6 mins, but I kept my head up to finish out the days strong! I kept reminding myself that these programs are meant to be tough, or you wouldn’t get anything out of them. They are meant to push you past the limits of where you would take yourself on your own. Each week, I was seeing my MAXOUT times and confidence levels increase. The program was still tough, but I was improving with each day and getting closer to my goals. I continued to wake up each morning at 5am to press play before I left for work. I was slowly seeing changes in my body, and I was sooooo ready to see what Insanity and Shakeology was going to do for me.
                As I started coming to the end of the 8 weeks, I started to really notice that my clothes were feeling a lot looser on me, and my waist was getting visibly smaller. I was gaining more confidence in myself inside and out! I was truly starting to enjoy this program and what Beachbody was doing for me!

                Finally, the moment of truth had come. I had completed 8 weeks of Insanity:MAX30, and I was super excited to share my results with everyone!! I had lost 16lbs and 5 inches in my waist! This program had far exceeded my expectations, and I was officially hooked on Beachbody and Shakeology!
